The Writer’s ToolBox: Dialog – Close Talking & Eavesdropping

May 29, 2019 @ 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm

The Writer’s ToolBox is a fun, stress-free way to work on your writing in a supportive atmosphere. Each session will focus on an aspect of writing and writers of all genres and levels are welcome.
The Writer’s ToolBox is facilitated by Amy Jenness, Atheneum programs coordinator and author of On This Day In Nantucket History.
In this session we will examine how dialog impacts the writing. We begin with a brief video as well as readings that feature dynamic dialog. Then we will experiment with writing prompts designed to create dialog conversations in a variety of styles ranging from colloquial to formal. We finish up with sharing and discussion.
Free admission, but space is limited please register.
