Meet at the LLNF at 110 Eel Point Road, and then carpool to various island hotspots in search of whatever birds we target. Dress for the wind and weather. Winter Discovery Days
Explore the history of Nantucket, play games, hear stories, and create crafts to take home. The program is free for Nantucket elementary-age children and their families. Children must be accompanied by adult companions. The Discovery Room, Whaling Museum, 13 Broad St. This week the program features "Sea Shells."

Knitting and Crocheting Workshop
Join Liz Flanagan and Nancy Tyrer for a weekly knitting and crocheting workshop. We will be making 8" squares to send to the Knit-a Square project for the AIDS orphans of southern Africa. Also bring your own project pattern, yarn, needles and hooks and we will help each other with pattern directions and stitches as we go along. Beginners are welcome. Feature Film: "The Good Lie"
They were known simply as 'The Lost Boys.' Orphaned by the brutal Civil war in Sudan that began in 1983, these young victims traveled as many as a thousand miles on foot in search of safety. Fifteen years later, a humanitarian effort would bring 3600 lost boys and girls to America. 'The Good Lie' brings the story of their survival and triumph to life. Sudanese actors Arnold Oceng, Ger Duany, Emmanuel Jal, and newcomer Nyakuoth Weil, many of whom were also children of war, star alongside Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon and Corey Stoll.
