Advanced Needlepoint Sampler 1 of 2 Classes
Create an intricate sampler using advanced techniques. This course is for advanced stitchers. It offers more complicated stitches than course #1, with a variety of stitches, textures and colors to challenge the needle woman. Eight inch stretcher bars and special tacks are provided, as in course #1, in order to work the project in the time- honored method. It can become a reference document for future projects. The border is an option. The design is worked on #18 blue canvas with Medicis wool and DMC cotton. All directions and materials are provided in the kit as well as tips and tricks. Homework is required. A possible third session can be scheduled if demand warrants. All materials included. Maximum class size: 6. Held at The 1800 House, 4 Mill Street. The JFK Hyannis Museum and The Dreamland present an evening of live conversation with Dr. Sergei Khrushchev. He is the son of former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev and is now a US citizen living in the US and is a Senior Fellow at the Watson Institute for International Studies at Brown University. With several advanced engineering degrees and experience in various high-level engineering positions in the Soviet Union from 1968-1991, Dr. Khrushchev has a wealth of knowledge about the Cold War from the Soviet Union's point of view, specifically the Soviet Union's nuclear program.
