Early-Bird Bird Walks
Join the MMA's Field Ornithologist, Ginger Andrews, on a boutique birding experience. You will head out to some of the best birding areas on the island. Transportation is provided from 4 Vestal St. This program is meant for adults but, children ages 8 and up are welcome to register with an adult guardian. $45 (members $35). 508-228-9198 or

Stump Swamp Guided Walkabout
A guided wilderness hike on the Stump Swamp/Norwood Farm trail. Two island ecosystems, a shrub swamp wetland and island moors dotted with kettle holes makes for a fascinating hike through a section of the island molded by 500 feet of ice bearing down on it 21,000 years ago. A trail meanders along the edge of the Stump Swamp offering views of water and the birds that reside here. Connecting with Almanac Pond Road, the trail continues past Almanac Pond, a kettle hole itself, and over into the Nantucket Islands Land Bank's portion of Norwood Farm. Registration required:

Free Dance(Sing) Movement for Ages 10 mos to 3 yrs.
Creative movement class with yoga and dance instructor Marjory Trott. Limited to first 15 children, each accompanied by a parent or caregiver. Tickets at the Children's Desk, when the library opens. Nantucket Atheneum, 1 India Street.
