Dining Out During the Pandemic
Now that Massachusetts has entered Phase 4 of reopening, many Nantucket eateries are now serving indoors, outdoors, and offering takeout. They are taking precautions to protect their guests, so you may find extra space between tables, plexiglass dividers, and waitstaff wearing masks. Table occupancy is still limited due to state rules, but the number of people who can be seated at a table is expected to soon be increased. Here are island options for dining out during the pandemic and some ideas on where to take your takeout if you’re tired of dining at home…
Where to take your takeout
If you’re getting tired of eating your takeout at home, there are plenty of places in town and around the island where you can enjoy your coffee or takeout. In addition to the benches you’ll find on nearly every street in town, here are some downtown parks and sitting areas where you can stay 6-feet from others but not feel quarantined. Just remember to take your leftovers and your trash home with you!
