Rooted in the island we love

For more than 30 years, Nantucket.net has been helping visitors and residents discover the very best of Nantucket. From planning vacations and finding local businesses to staying informed about island events, beaches, dining, shopping, and community news, our mission has always been the same: to provide trusted, local information from people who truly know the island.

We aren't just writing about the island — we live here.

Located on Nantucket, every recommendation, event listing, article, and business profile is created with a deep appreciation for the community we proudly call home.

A second-generation family business

Nantucket.net is a second-generation family business with roots that span decades. Founded by the father of the late Jerry Daub, the business has remained in the Daub family and continues to evolve while staying true to its original mission of connecting people with Nantucket.

Today, the company is owned and edited by Suzanne Daub, a year-round Nantucket resident of more than 50 years. Suzanne has spent decades preserving and sharing the stories, history, businesses, and events that make Nantucket unique. Her dedication has helped establish Nantucket.net and Yesterday's Island as trusted local resources for generations of residents and visitors alike.

Suzanne now works alongside her daughter, Jessica Daub, continuing the family's commitment to serving the island. Together with their dedicated team, their combined experience, local knowledge, and long-standing community relationships are at the heart of everything we do.

Connected to the community in every way

And while much of our work happens online, you'll still find us out in the community. On Thursday mornings, Suzanne and Jessica can often be seen delivering copies of Yesterday's Island across Nantucket, frequently joined by Suzanne's grandchildren — a reminder that this remains a true family business, with a new generation already helping carry on the tradition.

Nantucket.net is proudly operated by an all-women staff of three, and every member of the team has been with the company for more than 15 years. We believe Nantucket is more than a destination — it's a community. That's why we're committed to supporting local businesses, nonprofits, artists, organizations, and events while providing accurate, up-to-date information that visitors and year-round residents can rely on.
