Join us for exciting camps, classes, and workshops for ages 2 to 18 offered spring, summer, fall, and winter in our Visual Arts Center at 24 Amelia Drive.
Nantucket Island can be a summer vacation paradise for families! On our Insiders Guide to Nantucket, you’ll find some of the best Nantucket activities for families. If you are visiting Nantucket with kids, you can take them on family nature walks, sign up the young kids (under 14) for one of the dozens of summer camps–full day and half-day. There are children’s theater programs, puppet shows, story telling sessions, music lessons, art workshops, water sport camps with sailing and surfing, and sports camps. The Whaling Museum has a Discovery Room designed to engage children, and the Nantucket Shipwreck Museum has special programs for youth.
Visit our three lighthouses, and take the young ones to one of the Land Bank’s Discovery Playground at Hinsdale Park and the Codfish Park Playground in Sconset. During summer months, Nantucket Town offers free Sunday evening concerts at Children’s Beach.
And, of course, the whole family can enjoy days at the beach, head out on sailing charters, an ice cream cruise, fishing charters, surfcasting trips, and so much more. And remember to capture your family on Nantucket in a family portrait.
