Penwork decoration has been used since the 18th century on furniture, frames and boxes, often to create the illusion of inlaid ivory. IN this workshop you will learn how to transfer a design and using a variety of tools draw your design. Create a frame using motifs from scrimshaw in the NHA collections or choose for other patterns available. Each piece will be unique and show your own flair.

This class will be held in the Carriage House Garden located at the 1800 House. Safety protocols are in place for your ease and comfort and masks are required.
