Blues to Britain and Back

You’ve heard the story before: three chords and the truth, rooted in African traditions, refined in America’s Deep South. How then does such a quintessential expression of the African American experience have such a profound impact on young, white musicians in Britain; so much, in fact, that it gave birth to what we in the US now call the British Invasion?

Join Jeffrey Cutts for a journey through the bio of blues, featuring the music of pioneers like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and “Honeyboy” Edwards alongside the tunes of their star British pupils, Eric Clapton, Peter Green, the Rolling Stones, and of course our favorite Fab Four, the Beatles.
