BY CAR

Drive to Nantucket from New York City: Distance is approx. 270 miles, and drive time is between 4.5 and 6 hours, depending on traffic.  Follow Route 95 to Providence, Rhode Island; take Route 195 to Wareham, Massachusetts; then Route 25 over Bourne Bridge. Take Route 6 to Exit #6, then Route 132 into Hyannis. Follow signs to Barnstable Airport or Ferry Docks. Approximately 4-5 hours, depending on traffic.
NOTE: During summer season weekends, traffic near the bridge can become very congested. We recommend you travel during off-peak times.

From Boston: Distance is approx. 80 miles, and drive time is between 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Follow Route 3 (Southeast Expressway); then Route 6 over the Sagamore Bridge. Take Route 132 into Hyannis, and follow signs to Barnstable Airport or Ferry Docks.
NOTE: During summer season weekends, traffic near the bridge can become very congested. We recommend you travel during off-peak times.
